Purpose of Role
The Manager-Finance will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Corporation’s financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, accounting, revenue management, and investment analysis, in order to ensure efficient utilization of financial resources, compliance with statutory requirements, and support informed strategic decision-making.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans.
- Overseeing the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS and statutory requirements.
- Supervising reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial records.
- Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard corporate assets.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Managing revenue collection, billing, debt recovery, and cash flow processes.
- Overseeing payroll administration and timely remittance of statutory obligations.
- Monitoring expenditure and enforcing financial discipline across cost centres.
- Supervising maintenance of asset registers, inventory, and stores records.
- Supporting investment appraisals, resource mobilisation, and new business financial analysis.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks while improving system efficiency and automation.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to finance staff.

- Strong understanding of financial management systems and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and interpret financial data.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in computerised accounting and financial management systems such as Sage, SAP, etc.
- Strategic mindset with ability to align financial decisions to corporate goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Full professional accounting qualification such as CA Zambia, ACCA, ZICA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
- Must be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
