Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Lusaka, Zambia
- Design and Analysis: Develop HVAC system designs, conduct load calculations, select appropriate equipment, and prepare detailed specifications tailored to various project types.
- Installation Oversight: Supervise HVAC system installations, ensuring strict adherence to engineering designs, safety regulations, and building codes.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and HVAC design principles.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software, including CAD and manufacturer-specific tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications or licenses, such as those from the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in HVAC system design, installation, or maintenance is preferred; senior candidates should demonstrate leadership in project delivery.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring availability during weekdays and weekends. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.
