Background

Sheba Clinic is assembling its team ahead of the opening of a new healthcare facility in Lusaka and is seeking qualified and dedicated professionals to join the team.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and differential diagnoses for patients presenting with various conditions .

Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and initiate appropriate therapeutic interventions .

Emergency Care: Provide rapid assessment and stabilization for urgent and emergency cases, recognizing clinical red flags early .

Referral & Coordination: Identify patients requiring specialist care and make timely referrals to consultants or higher-level facilities .

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records, including history, examination findings, treatment provided, and follow-up plans .

Patient & Family Education: Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis clearly to patients and families, providing health education and preventive advice .

Continuous Learning: Participate in continuous medical education (CME), clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives to stay updated on best practices .

Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior clinical staff, including Clinical Officers and Interns .
