Grassroot Soccer Zambia (GRS) is an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives. Founded in 2005, GRS works across five provinces (Lusaka, Eastern, Muchinga, Northern and Copperbelt), and brings deep experience in youth-led sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programmes, HIV, gender based violence and mental health.

Grassroot Soccer Zambia is seeking to fill the following Intern positions, which will work closely with various team members to support our programs and initiatives:

Responsibilities or duties

The Monitoring and Evaluation Interns will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our programs.

  • Ensuring the implementation of field activities aligns with the monitoring and evaluation system.
  • Ensuring the quality of data collected by coaches and external data collectors.
  • Assisting programs in capacity building for partners on Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PM&E).
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor activities and gather feedback from participants.
  • Assisting in conducting program data reviews and assessments.
  • Developing and sharing field visit reports with relevant staff.
  • Sharing learnings from the M&E process with the wider team.
  • Demonstrating eagerness to undertake any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Minimum Diploma to Degree in Social Sciences or related fields.
  • Keen to learn, with the ability to work with drive and enthusiasm in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Database Management, Statistical packages, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Good facilitation skills.
  • Ability to identify essential information effectively.
