Cappello, a vibrant and growing restaurant brand, is expanding its team in Lusaka. We’re inviting experienced and motivated individuals to apply for the following positions at our Lewanika Shopping Centre outlet.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

1. Griller

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and grill meats, vegetables, and other menu items to perfection
• Maintain cleanliness of the grilling area and follow food safety standards
• Monitor portion sizes, cooking methods, and presentation
• Ensure consistency and quality of each dish

Requirements:

• Prior experience in grilling or kitchen operations
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

2. Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef in food preparation and kitchen operations
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure adherence to recipes and presentation
• Ensure quality control and manage stock levels
• Assist with planning menus and specials

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Food Production or Culinary Arts
• 2+ years experience in a busy kitchen, preferably as a Sous Chef
• Strong leadership and time-management skills

3. Baker

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, and desserts
• Follow recipes and ensure consistent quality
• Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ensure cleanliness
• Monitor baking equipment and report maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage production schedules

4. Bar Man

Responsibilities:

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Monitor stock and assist with ordering supplies
• Provide excellent customer service and manage bar tabs efficiently

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting
• Knowledge of cocktails and beverages
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
