JOB DETAILS:

Jacksochi Building Construction Limited is a versatile and dynamic company specializing in a wide range of services and products, including building construction, transportation, civil, mechanical, and electrical works, as well as the supply of building materials and general hardware.

We are looking for skilled individuals to join our team:

1. PLUMBER

Responsibilities:
– Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (GI/PVC pipes, fittings, sanitaryware) as per project specifications.
– Interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance with Zambian building standards.
– Conduct pressure tests, troubleshoot leaks, and ensure proper drainage systems.
– Collaborate with electrical and construction teams for integrated MEP solutions.

Requirements:
– Certification in plumbing or related field (TEVETA/recognized institution).
– 3+ years of experience in residential/commercial projects.
– Proficiency in welding (for GI pipes) and PVC jointing techniques.
– Knowledge of solar-powered water systems (a plus).

2. CARPENTER

Responsibilities:
– Construct and install wooden structures (doors, windows, ceilings, formwork).
– Work with mukwa hardwood, Rhino board, and other materials as per architectural plans.
– Ensure precision in measurements, cutting, and finishing.
– Adhere to safety protocols and maintain tools/equipment.

Requirements:
– TEVETA Certification in Carpentry & Joinery (Level 1 or higher).
– 5+ years of experience in construction carpentry.
– Ability to operate power tools (saws, drills, planers).
– Experience with roofing trusses and branding (preferred).

3. METAL WORKER / BOILERMAKER
Responsibilities:

– Fabricate and install structural steel components (trusses, purlins, tank stands).
– Weld, cut, and shape metal parts (angle bars, base plates) for construction projects.
– Interpret engineering drawings and ensure compliance with safety standards.
– Maintain and repair construction machinery/equipment.

Requirements:

– Diploma/Certificate in Metal Work, Welding, or Boilermaking.
– 3+ years of experience in construction or industrial settings.
– Proficiency in ARC/MIG welding and red oxide coating.
– Experience with solar panel mounting structures (advantageous).

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: associate degree
