The Learning Ladder Academy & Montessori Academy in Lusaka is offering the Oxford international Primary & Montessori Curriculum, invites applications from qualified, dedicated and innovative educators to fill the following positions: . Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music and/or Art lessons in line with the school curriculum and international best practices.
  • Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music (vocal, instrumental, rhythm) and/or visual arts (drawing, painting, crafts, design).
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts.
  • Identify, develop, and nurture learners’ artistic and musical talents.
  • Organise and support school concerts, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.
  • Assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Ensure safe handling and proper use of musical instruments and art materials.
  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents on learners’ progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (experience in private or international schools is an advantage).
  • Ability to teach both practical and theory components of Music and/or Art.
  • Experience in instrumental music, drama, or creative arts will be an added advantage.
