WE ARE HIRING
Optic Fibre Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, splice, and terminate fibre optic cables
- Conduct testing using OTDR, power meters, and other fibre testing tools
- Perform fault detection, troubleshooting, and repairs on fibre networks
- Supervise and support fibre technicians and splicers on site
- Ensure proper documentation of fibre routes, splicing records, and test results
- Monitor network performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during field operations
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in fibre optic installation and maintenance
- Hands-on experience with fibre splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with telecom network standards and procedures.
- Certification in fibre optics (e.g., FOA or equivalent)
- Experience in FTTH, backbone, and metro fibre networks
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and layouts
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in telecom field operations.
