Key Responsibilities

Panel Beating:

  • Assess and repair dents, scratches, frame damage and body misalignment on passenger vehicles and heavy‑duty equipment.
  • Use hammers, dollies, pullers and welding equipment to restore panels to factory specifications.

Spray Painting:

  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, masking, priming) to achieve flawless paint adhesion.
  • Mix and apply base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using spray guns.
  • Perform color matching and blending to factory or custom standards.

Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect all repaired panels and painted surfaces for blemishes and defects.
  • Ensure first‑time fix—no rework due to negligence.

Mentorship & Teamwork:

  • Train and supervise junior technicians, sharing best practices in metalwork and painting techniques.
  • Collaborate with Auto Mechanics, Electricians, and service advisors to deliver turnkey solutions.

Customer Communication:

  • Provide clear, professional technical assessments and cost estimates.
  • Advise clients on repair options, paint finishes, and maintenance recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a Panel Beater and/or Spray Painter.
  • Hands‑on expertise with both light vehicles and heavy‑duty equipment is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MIG/TIG welding, metal straightening, plastic repair.
  • Skilled in surface preparation, masking techniques, and spray‑gun operation.

Attention to Detail:

  • Strong eye for color matching and finish quality.
  • Commitment to flawless workmanship on every job.

Professionalism:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to interact confidently and honestly with customers.

Team Leadership:

  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.
  • Passion for knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement.
