Background
The Council of Law Reporting is a statutory body established under the Council of Law Reporting Act, Chapter 46 of the Laws of Zambia, mandated to prepare, publish and disseminate law reports and other legal publications, thereby promoting access to legal information and supporting the development of jurisprudence in Zambia. In pursuit of its strategic objectives and commitment to institutional excellence, the Council of Law Reporting invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and innovative candidates for the following positions:Recruitment agency directory
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to report to the Council Secretary and will be responsible for the following:
- Undertake accurately dictation in order to facilitate transcribing into mailable correspondence and documents;
- Types accurately correspondence and documents in order to ensure production of high-quality documents;
- Undertake effectively the classification of documentation in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information;
- Receive daily correspondence from both internal and external sources in order to ensure appropriate attention and action;
- Record timely appointments in order to facilitate attention and action;
- Receive and attends politely to visitors in order to enhance the image of the institution;
- Attend to and makes telephone calls timely in order to facilitate communication; and
- Undertake effectively the acquisition and serving of beverages and refreshments to officers and visitors in order to extend hospitality.
Qualifications
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma in Office Management or its equivalent
- Shorthand/Typing speed of 100/65 wpm
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
