JOB DETAILS:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
- Experience Required: 3+ years of underground mine experience.
Role Overview:
The Planning Engineer (Maintenance) focuses on scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities for underground mining equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance schedules for underground mining equipment, ensuring optimal availability.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to execute planned and unplanned repairs.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, costs, and equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with the Planning Head to integrate maintenance plans into overall mine operations.
Competencies:
- Maintenance planning and scheduling expertise.
- Knowledge of underground mining equipment and systems.
- Analytical skills for equipment performance monitoring.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Safety awareness and adherence to regulations.
