JOB DETAILS:
About the Position
We seek competent, safety-conscious Plant Operators to operate equipment per SOPs, ensuring consistent high-quality water production in a demanding environment involving heat, chemicals, and noise.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant equipment/machinery per SOPs.
- Ensure adequate treatment chemicals are available and dosed at recommended rates; log all dosages.
- Conduct hourly equipment monitoring; report operational threats immediately.
- Monitor chlorine residues and log all operational parameters.
- Execute routine maintenance and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Update the Daily Occurrence book before shift handover.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Craft Certificate in Electrical, Water Supply Operations (or equivalent).
- Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
- At least 1 year experience in a process plant (water treatment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of water operations; ability to identify operational threats.
- Physically fit, committed to safety.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: associate degree
