About the Role – Poultry Manager Jobs in Lusaka

ThanoXx Poultry Limited is currently recruiting an experienced and results-oriented poultry manager to lead and expand its broiler production operations in Lusaka West, Zambia. This role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee a growing poultry enterprise, with production increasing from 1,500 to 6,000 broilers.

Position: Poultry Manager

Location: Farm Plot 182A, Sopelo Area, Off Mungwi Road, Lusaka West, Lusaka, Zambia

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily poultry operations, initially with 1,500 broilers, scaling up to 6,000 broilers.
• Ensure strict adherence to poultry management standards and biosecurity protocols.
• Monitor flock health, feeding, watering, stocking density, growth performance, and welfare standards.
• Supervise and collaborate closely with two general workers to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production, mortality, medication, and feed consumption.
• Prepare and submit regular operational reports to the Site Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of practical experience in poultry production and management.
• Certificate, Diploma, or higher qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Production, Livestock Production, Veterinary Studies, or a related discipline.
• Membership with the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AZIA) or another recognized agricultural professional body is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of broiler production, poultry housing, feeding programs, disease prevention, and biosecurity best practices.
