Introduction

Farm Select Limited is a leading Zambian poultry enterprise engaged in the rearing of point-of-lay pullets and the production of high-quality table eggs. As we expand our operational footprint, we are seeking to recruit competent and committed individuals to serve as Poultry Supervisors at our Katuba and Makeni sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of poultry units including pullet rearing and egg production.
• Oversee the feeding, watering, and overall care of birds, ensuring timely routines.
• Monitor flock health, performance indicators, and report abnormalities.
• Coordinate and supervise vaccination, debeaking, and treatment programs.
• Enforce strict adherence to biosecurity and hygiene protocols across all units.
• Maintain accurate production records, including mortality, feed usage, and output.
• Guide, train, and evaluate poultry attendants under their supervision.
• Liaise with veterinary and nutrition teams to ensure animal welfare and optimal productivity.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum certificate in Animal Science, General Agriculture, or Veterinary Technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or Agribusiness will be an added advantage.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in poultry farming, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, disease control, and production systems.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in farm recordkeeping and basic reporting.
• Must be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high farm standards.
