JOB DETAILS:
Position: Power Electrician
Number of Positions: 3
Location: Zambia
Job Summary:
The Power Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power systems and industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain electrical power systems and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Work on motors, switchgear, control panels, cables, transformers, and related equipment.
- Conduct electrical inspections and testing.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with safety and technical standards.
- Respond promptly to electrical equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Follow lockout/tagout and other electrical safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade certificate/diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
- Appropriate electrical certification/licensing for industrial work in Zambia.
- Previous industrial or plant electrical experience is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good understanding of electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to work shifts and respond to emergencies when required.
