A college principal’s duties encompass leadership, administration, and academic oversight. They are responsible for setting the vision and direction of the college, managing its resources, and ensuring the academic quality and student experience. This includes guiding staff, managing budgets, and fostering a positive and effective learning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Leadership:
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing the college’s long-term goals and strategic plans.
- Vision and Mission: Defining and communicating the college’s values and objectives.
- Community Engagement: Building relationships with local stakeholders and promoting the college’s image.
2. ADMINISTRATION:
- Budget Management: Overseeing the college’s finances and ensuring responsible allocation of funds.
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Facilities Management: Ensuring the college’s physical environment is safe, functional, and conducive to learning.
Student Services: Managing admissions, advising students, and addressing student concerns.
3. ACADEMIC OVERSIGHT:
- Curriculum Development: Ensuring the curriculum is aligned with college goals and student needs.
- Instructional Quality: Monitoring and supporting teaching effectiveness, and promoting innovative teaching methods.
- Academic Standards: Maintaining high standards of academic rigor and integrity.
- Student Discipline: Handling student conduct issues and enforcing college policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. G12 Certificate
2. Masters Degree in any Educational program
3. Degree in any Business or Management program
4. PHD in any field will be an added advantage
5. Five or more years work experience in Management related field
6. No criminal charges
