JOB DETAILS:

To provide comprehensive project control support through financial monitoring, schedule tracking, and risk management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while complying with company policies and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Control:
• Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets with cost forecasts
• Monitor project expenditures and identify potential cost overruns
• Prepare variance analyses and regular financial status reports
• Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and regulations

Schedule & Risk Management:
• Track project timelines and identify potential schedule delays
• Support development of mitigation strategies for project risks
• Maintain risk registers with financial impact assessments

Data Management & Reporting:
• Collect and analyze project cost, revenue, and performance data
• Prepare and update comprehensive project documentation
• Generate regular project status reports for stakeholders

Process Improvement:
• Contribute to development of enhanced project control procedures
• Implement best practices in project monitoring and reporting

Team Leadership:
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff
• Promote HSE standards awareness and compliance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certification:
✓ Grade 12 Certificate (ZAQA verified)
✓ Degree/Diploma in Engineering field (ZAQA verified)
✓ Project Management qualification (advantageous)
✓ Current EIZ/ERB membership

Experience & Skills:
• 3+ years project controls experience in mining sector
• Strong financial analysis and budget management skills
• Proficiency in project management software/tools
• Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
