1. Psychosocial counselling (Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma levels)
2. HIV/AIDS Management
Valley View University College is seeking to recruit a Psychosocial Counselling Lecturer and Tutor
The successful candidate will champion quality enhancement across the College and is expected to do the following;
Responsibilities or duties
- Prepare and deliver lectures on topics like clinical, cognitive, or developmental psychology, and manage seminars or lab sessions.
- Design syllabi, create instructional resources, and update curricula to reflect new advancements.
- Deliver engaging lessons on psychology topics, such as cognitive processes and developmental psychology.
- Plan and deliver imaginative and interactive schemes of learning, updating materials to match current psychological research.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and laboratory work, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology (Recent graduate)
- Must Have a Full Grade Twelve Certificate
- Must be computer literate
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Result and goal-oriented
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organisational skills.
- Must be of strong Christian character.
