Sarazi Logistics is seeking experienced and highly qualified Heavy Duty Truck Drivers to join our growing fleet. We are looking for dedicated individuals who prioritize safety, efficiency, and timely delivery and who are committed to maintaining our high standards of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks (e.g., rigid, articulated, super-links) for the transportation of various goods across designated routes within Zambia and potentially cross-border.
  • Adhere strictly to all Zambian road traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and proper loading.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of cargo during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team, dispatch, and clients.
  • Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere to journey management plans and schedules.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Must possess a valid Zambian Driver’s License, Class CE (or equivalent for heavy-duty vehicles).
  • A valid Defensive Driving Certificate is highly advantageous.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of [Specify number, e.g., 5+] years of verifiable professional experience driving heavy-duty trucks, preferably in a logistics or commercial transport setting.
  • Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to road regulations.
  • Solid understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Zambian road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly (verbally and written) in English.
  • Must be physically fit and able to undertake long-haul journeys.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Knowledge of cross-border documentation and procedures will be an added advantage.
