The Station Manager will direct the daily operational, financial, and administrative functions of the station.

Responsibilities or duties

Key responsibility

  • Team Leadership: Oversee sales, programming, Techinical matters, and administrative personnel.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage annual operational budgets, expense tracking, and revenue targets.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national media laws and licensing requirements.
  • Content Strategy: Guide the station’s branding, scheduling, and on-air quality control.
  • Public Relations: Act as the primary representative for community and corporate partnerships.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Key requirements

  • Proven Leadership: 3+ years managing radio station operations.
  • Industry Experience: 5–7 years in broadcasting with a track record of driving revenue.
  • Legal Compliance: Deep understanding of broadcast regulations and licensing laws.
  • Technical Literacy: Familiarity with radio automation software and production tools.
  • Strong Communication: Exceptional skills in public relations and crisis management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Journalism.
