Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. Through its Mayi na Mwana II project, CRS is improving maternal and newborn health outcomes in Eastern Province by supporting community-based emergency transport systems.
To ensure continued functionality of distributed Modified Motor Tricycle Ambulances (MMTAs) and bicycles, CRS invites applications for beneficiary grants to establish and operate ten (10) MMTA/Bicycle Repair Shops across Lusangazi, Petauke, Sinda, Katete, and Chipangali districts.
Purpose of the Grant: The grants aim to increase local access to spare parts and repair services while fostering sustainability and community empowerment through locally led repair shops.
