Job Title: Regional Lubricants Manager – Northern

Mount Meru Petroleum Zambia seeks an experienced Regional Lubricants Manager to oversee our lubricants business in Northern Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), based in Kitwe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business plans to drive growth and profitability in the lubricants business in Northern Zambia and DRC across diverse sectors such as mining, energy, construction, automobile, industrial, agriculture and retail.
• Develop, manage and maintain strong relationships with key mining customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Lead a team of sales and operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure achievement of sales targets.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
• Manage inventory levels, logistics, and distribution networks to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to drive business outcomes.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure business performance is tracked and optimized.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or a similar field MBA is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in downstream sales of petroleum products, minimum of 5 years, with a strong focus on managing mining customers.
• Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, team management, and business development.
• Strong understanding of the lubricants industry, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
