Background

Sheba Clinic is assembling its team ahead of the opening of a new healthcare facility in Lusaka and is seeking qualified and dedicated professionals to join the team.

Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and assisting with activities of daily living .

Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications, including oral, intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes .

Patient Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments of patients' health status, recognizing changes and reporting to the Medical Officer or Clinical Officer .

Health Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle practices .

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate nursing records, including care plans, observations, and interventions provided .

Infection Prevention: Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff .

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts as part of the team .

Supervision: Supervise and guide Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and student nurses as assigned .
