About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Safety management Training Officer to deliver, and evaluate training programmes that strengthen safety practices and human performance in high‑risk operational environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in equipping staff with essential skills in Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Human Factors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing organisational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safety training modules focused on CRM and Human Factors.
- Conduct workshops, simulations, and practical sessions to improve staff awareness and performance.
- Deliver engaging in-person and digital safety training, toolbox talks, and site-specific inductions.
- Assess training effectiveness and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management to align training with organisational safety objectives.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A recognised National Relevant qualification, Diploma or bachelor’s degree in safety management, Industrial Psychology, Human Factors, or a related field.Primary & Secondary Schooling (K-12)
- Training Expertise: Strong knowledge of CRM principles and Human Factors applications would be advantageous.Proven experience in safety training within high‑risk industries would be an advantage. (e.g., mining, oil & gas, aviation, construction).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and coaching skills in English (multilingualism is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in training or safety management.
- Compliance: A valid Zambian Driver’s License and the willingness to travel to different sites when required.
