JOB DETAILS:
Location: Mansa, Zambia
Reports to: HSE Manager

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing workplace health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections on-site.
-Develop and implement health and safety policies in compliance with Zambian labor laws.
-Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees.
-Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations.
-Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Institute (OHSI) Zambia and other regulatory bodies.
-Maintain and update safety records, audits, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace safety and compliance.
-Registered with a recognized safety professional body (e.g., Zambia Institute of Safety and Health).
-Knowledge of Zambian occupational health and safety laws.
-Strong communication and leadership skills.
