Background
Savanna Premium Chocolate is seeking a passionate and results-driven Sales Agent to expand our retail footprint locally and internationally by securing partnerships with hotels, supermarkets, gourmet shops, and specialty retailers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, understands premium food products, and has a strong network in hospitality and retail industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard new retail partners including hotels, supermarkets, gourmet food shops, retailers and influencers.
- Develop our database of local and international ideal customers and build a regular bi-weekly communication plan with the potential customers
- Pitch and present the unique value of our bean-to-bar chocolate bars and other products, emphasizing ethical sourcing, artisanal quality, and brand story.
- Negotiate terms, close deals with retail outlets to stock and promote our products.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in hospitality and retail.
- Track sales performance and provide regular updates and insights to the mgmt.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to support in-store promotions, tastings, and brand activations.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- New Accounts Opened: Number of new retail stores & hotel onboarded per quarter
- Sales Volume: Monthly &quarterly sales revenue generated through acquired accounts.
- Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into active retail partners.
- Account Retention Rate: Percentage of partners who continue ordering after initial onboarding.
- Average Order Value (AOV): Average size of orders placed by retail partners.
- Time to First Sale: Average time from initial contact to first order.
- Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Feedback from retail partners regarding onboarding experience and product quality.
- Event Participation: Number of tastings, demos, or promotional events organized or supported.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or similar field is required
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the FMCG, food, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong network in retail and hotel buyers is a requirement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Passion for sustainable, artisanal, and premium food products.
- Ability to travel as needed.
