Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the annual Sales & Marketing plan in line with resort goals and brand positioning.
  • Identify and penetrate target markets including leisure, corporate, MICE, FIT, and consortia.
  • Manage sales team performance, setting KPIs aligned with revenue and market share growth.
  • Forge and manage relationships with key travel trade partners, OTAs, DMCs, and luxury travel advisors.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Groups & Events segment, ensuring seamless coordination from lead generation to event execution.
  • Collaborate with F&B, Operations, and Events teams to ensure high standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Drive MICE revenue by targeting conferences, weddings, retreats, and incentives business.
  • Monitor event conversion ratios and profitability metrics.
  • Optimize room inventory across distribution channels and implement upselling strategies.
  • Ensure all reservations-related guest touchpoints reflect brand values and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Manager to balance rate integrity and inventory optimization.
  • Oversee brand marketing, digital presence, social media, and PR activities.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms and guest touchpoints.
  • Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, promotional offers, and guest engagement initiatives.
  • Represent the resort at trade shows, roadshows, and media events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor sales performance, booking pace, and key revenue KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, OCC).
  • Analyze market trends, competitor intelligence, and ROI from campaigns.
  • Prepare monthly reports for executive management on sales pipeline, conversion, and marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury hospitality/upscale Sales & Marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing Group Sales, Events, and Reservations operations in an upscale resort environment.
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing
