ABOUT RICHMOND FARMS

Richmond Farms Limited is a proudly Zambian agribusiness, committed to delivering high-quality food products across the country. Our diverse portfolio includes dry goods, edible oils, meat products, poultry, animal feed, and other agricultural products, serving both retail and wholesale markets nationwide.

We are seeking highly motivated, confident, and results-oriented Sales Representatives to join our growing sales team. The successful candidates will play a key role in expanding our market presence, driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring excellent execution across their assigned territories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Representative will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Promoting and selling Richmond Farms Limited’s product portfolio, including rice, edible oils, peanut butter, spices, salt, beans, groundnuts, meat products, poultry products, and animal feed.
  • Growing sales within supermarkets, wholesalers, distributors, general trade outlets, hospitality businesses, and other Institutional clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by management.
  • Monitoring stock availability at customer locations and coordinating replenishment with the logistics team.
  • Conducting regular market visits to gather competitor intelligence, pricing information, and customer feedback.
  • Preparing accurate sales reports, customer visit reports, and market intelligence reports.
  • Following up on customer orders, deliveries, and outstanding payments were necessary.
  • Resolving customer queries professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Participating in product activations, promotional campaigns, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Representing Richmond Farms Limited professionally and always upholding the company’s brand values.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Grade 12 Certificate.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in FMCG sales, preferably within the food manufacturing or agribusiness sector.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
