- Produce compelling visual stories from concept to delivery, making strong editorial decisions on reporting, filming, scripting and narrative structure.
- Build and maintain strong source networks to secure exclusive content, expert contributors and deeper access to stories.
- Deliver high quality video content for major news events and breaking stories, working quickly and confidently while maintaining BBC editorial standards.
- Innovate with new formats, storytelling techniques and audience engagement approaches to keep pace with changing digital and social media trends.
- Collaborate closely with editors, designers and social media teams to maximise the impact, reach and quality of video output across platforms.
- Apply an audience first mindset, using visual storytelling, platform expertise and efficient production workflows to create content that informs, resonates and drives engagement.

- Strong production planning and organisational skills, with experience managing shoots, contributors, locations and deadlines in fast moving environments.
- Good understanding of digital video best practice, including subtitles, graphics, content optimisation, platform algorithms and audience engagement techniques.
