JOB DETAILS:

To provide independent and objective assurance over Infratel’s IT systems, cybersecurity, telecom infrastructure, and networks by identifying risks, recommending security improvements, and supporting risk management and business continuity functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Information System (IS) & Technical Audit Planning

• Participate in developing the annual IS audit plan.
• Contribute to departmental budget and strategy formulation.
• Assist in designing audit policies, frameworks, and procedures.
• Develop risk-based audit programs and engagement strategies.

2. IS Audit Execution & Management

• Conduct IS operational, technical, governance, and compliance audits.
• Perform risk-based audits on systems, applications, and IT processes.
• Prepare draft IS audit reports for Head of Internal Audit & Risk (HIAR).
• Review IT policies, controls, cybersecurity, and data privacy processes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and associated risks.
• Support cost optimization in Data Centre and project implementations.
• Conduct revenue assurance audits and tower site technical audits.

3. Business Continuity & Risk Management

• Assist in developing and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
• Evaluate IT DRP effectiveness, cybersecurity, and risk frameworks.
• Advise management on IT risk mitigation (infrastructure, security, DR).
• Support the development of IT-related Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Identify and assess IT/cyber risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

4. Compliance

• Ensure audits comply with ISO 27001:2022, COBIT, ITIL, and other standards.
• Monitor compliance with ZICTA, ICTAZ, Bank of Zambia, Data Protection, and Cyber Security Act.
• Assist in developing IT, risk, and control policies.

5. Training & Awareness

• Conduct staff training on internal controls, risk, and business continuity.
• Mentor audit staff on IT controls and industry developments.
• Maintain up-to-date IT audit certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP).

6. People Management & Relationships

• Supervise audit staff in the absence of the Internal Audit Manager.
• Engage professionally with cybersecurity, risk teams, and auditees.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in communication and conflict resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CSX-P, CGEIT) – added advantage.
• Member of ISACA, ICTAZ, or IIA Zambia.

• Cybersecurity controls and frameworks (COBIT 5, ITIL, ISO 27001).
• Data Centre operations and IT Disaster Recovery processes.
