JOB DETAILS:

The Senior Internal Auditor is directly responsible for ensuring successful completion of assigned audit assignments from start to finish , inclusive of pre planning and wrap up activities by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end, identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
• Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
• Obtains and reviews evidence, ensuring audit conclusions are well documented and based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances and risk.
• Ensures adherence at all times to applicable departmental and professional standards.
• Timely Communicates assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate and efficient results.
• Organises personal effort to be risk based , productive and efficient at all times
• Ensures adequate focus on personal professional growth, relevant to taking more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression – proactively seeks relevant education and training opportunities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, technology or the equivalent. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Professional Certification and full membership of ZICA and IIA is a MUST.
• Minimum 3 year’ experience in accounting, auditing in Microfinance, Financial Sector or Auditing Firm, among of which at least ONE year in supervisory function.
