JOB DETAILS:

To provide comprehensive project controls expertise through rigorous cost management, schedule optimization, and risk mitigation to ensure successful delivery of mining capital projects within defined constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Control & Reporting:
• Develop and manage project budgets exceeding [X] million USD
• Implement earned value management (EVM) systems
• Prepare monthly cost performance reports with variance analysis

Schedule Management:
• Maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project
• Conduct critical path analysis and delay impact assessments
• Develop recovery schedules for delayed activities

Risk Management:
• Maintain quantitative risk registers with mitigation plans
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations for schedule risk analysis
• Implement contingency drawdown protocols

Stakeholder Communication:
• Present project dashboards to executive management
• Facilitate project review meetings with technical teams
• Interface with contractors on progress measurement

Quality Assurance:
• Implement project controls quality management system
• Conduct internal audits of control processes
• Ensure compliance with company project management standards

Team Leadership:
• Mentor junior project controls personnel
• Conduct project controls training sessions
• Promote cross-functional collaboration

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certification:
✓ Grade 12 Certificate (ZAQA verified)
✓ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ZAQA verified)
✓ EIZ/ERB membership
✓ PMP/PRINCE2 certification (preferred)

Technical Competencies:
• Advanced proficiency in project controls software
• Mining project lifecycle understanding
• Contract commercial awareness

Experience:
• 5+ years in mining project controls
• Experience with EPCM delivery models
• Capital project exposure (>$10M)
