JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:

To carry out security controls, monitor CCTV, and manage a third-party security company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and monitor hired guards deployed on various university beats to ensure effective guard- ship and monitoring duties and patrols.
• Monitor of assets , vehicles, and facilities
• Conduct inspections , site visits, and audits to identify and address risks
• Support incident management reporting
• Maintain correct, accurate, and timely daily, weekly, and monthly logs of all security events monitored and captured on CCTV and other university security systems.
• Detect security breaches within the campus and enforce regulations when required.
• Facilitate prosecution in the courts of law of all cases of theft and vandalism involving university property.
• Efficiently and effectively monitor all access points to university premises to prevent unauthorized entry.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• Diploma in security management or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum Education: Grade 12 Certificate
• Should have at least worked for more than 5 years in the police, army, or any other security organization.
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role, plus previous experience in security operations
• Fluent in written and spoken English
