Job Summary:
The Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing the production activities during a specific shift. This role ensures that production targets are met, equipment is operated safely, and that all operators and miners under their supervision adhere to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Supervision: Monitor loading, hauling, and crushing activities to ensure shift production targets are met.
- Safety: Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and ensure all personnel wear proper PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Equipment Management: Ensure efficient utilization of excavators, loaders, and dumpers. Report any equipment defects immediately.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of material being produced (oversize, dust, etc.) and coordinate with the crusher operator.
- Reporting: Prepare a detailed end-of-shift report covering production figures, equipment hours, and any incidents.
- Coordination: Liaise with the Mine Manager and Maintenance team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a mining environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of mining operations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
