Job Purpose
To manage and control all inventory at the site, ensuring accurate stock records, proper storage, timely issuance of materials, and compliance with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in inventory / stores management
- Experience working on construction project sites is an advantage
- Knowledge of inventory systems and Microsoft Excel
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Good record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently at site
- Integrity and accountability
- Good communication skills
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure
- Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, and stored at site
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials
- Issue materials to site staff only with approved requisitions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records
- Investigate and report any stock variances, damages, or losses
- Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures
- Coordinate with procurement, and accounts departments
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections
- Ensure site stores are clean, safe, and well organized
