The Rural Electrification Authority (REA) is a statutory body established under REA Act No. 5 of 2023. Its mandate is to increase access to electricity in rural areas of Zambia, thereby enhancing productivity, stimulating economic growth, and improving the quality of life for the rural population. Job Description

To undertake the design, development, testing and deployment of Information systems in order to meet end user requirements.

Responsibility:

• User Needs Assessment Undertakes periodically the conduct of user needs assessments in order to facilitate business process re-engineering, automation and systems development.
• Systems Documentation Undertakes timely the documentation of information systems and systems inventory in order to facilitate maintenance and business continuity.
• Website and Portal Undertakes effectively the design and maintenance of websites and portals in order to facilitate interaction with stakeholders.
• System Applications Undertakes effectively the design, development, acquisition and implementation in software and application systems in order to facilitate service delivery.
• Quality Management System Undertakes effectively the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
• Risk Management Undertakes effectively the preparation and review of the Software Development risk register in order to ensure effective management of risk.
• Performance Management Supervises timely the development of work plans and the implementation of the performance management system in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.

Qualification Required:

Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate, Validation Certificate from Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)
