JOB DETAILS:
Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company is a Commercial Water Utility providing quality water and sanitation services to its customers in Kitwe, Kalulushi, Chambishi and Lufwanyama. In its quest to improve service delivery, the Company seeks to employ suitable, highly motivated and goal-oriented professionals to fill the following vacancies:

3.0 Superintendent – Planning (x01) – 2 Year Contract

1.0 Job Purpose
To supervise and undertake the distribution and implementation of maintenance plans, schedules and strategy in order to ensure timely and coordinated maintenance works.

2.0 Job Accountabilities
 To monitor effectively the implementation of maintenance plans, schedules and repair works in order to track progress and implement appropriate interventions.
 To supervise and undertake effectively the preparation, distribution and monitoring of maintenance schedules in order to ensure efficient and coordinated maintenance works.
 To supervise and undertake effectively updating of maintenance procedures in order to guide the operation of the Unit.
 To undertake effectively the provision of technical support in materials requirements in order to facilitate the requisition, inventory and safekeeping of appropriate spares and inputs for maintenance works.
 To undertake effectively provision of technical support in updating of housekeeping rules, materials requirement, inspection and worksites procedure in order to ensure adherence to standards.
 To supervise and undertake regularly the updating and filing of maintenance documents in order to ensure easy retrieval.
 To supervise and undertake effectively preparation of consolidated maintenance reports in order to facilitate management decision making.
 To supervise timely implementations of performance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance and ensure attainment of unit objectives.
 To supervise effectively the utilization of human and material resources in order to ensure attainment of unit objectives.

3.0 Qualifications and Experience
 Full grade twelve certificate with at least credits in five (05) ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English
 Diploma in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering
 Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
 At least three (03) years’ work experience

4.0 Skills, Knowledge and Other Attributes
 Problem solving and analytical skills;
 Must be assertive with excellent supervisory skills;
 Must have knowledge of Engineering Software;
 Attention to detail; and
 Excellent interpersonal communication at all levels (verbal and written)

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree
