Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer (Infrastructure) is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and

maintaining clients IT infrastructure. This includes servers, network systems, storage solutions,

virtualization and other related technologies. The role involves ensuring the stability, security, and

scalability of the IT infrastructure to support the organizations business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Design and implement server architecture, network infrastructure, and storage solutions.
  • Deploy and configure hardware and software components to meet business needs.
  •  Administer and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, including operating system installations, updates, and patches.
  •  Manage storage systems, data backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
  •  Implement security measures and best practices to protect infrastructure from cyber threats.
  •  Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to incidents and outages.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support their technology needs.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  •  Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred.
  •  Experience in IT infrastructure design and management.
  •  Proficiency with operating systems (e.g., Linux), server hardware, and network technologies.
  •  Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, OLVM).
  • Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  •  Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  •  Ability to work in a team and independently.

Other Additional Skills:

  • Cloud computing knowledge (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  •  Automation and scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  •  Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
