Job Summary:
Truckmec Zambia Ltd is hiring skilled TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe) Operators for our Kalumbia site in Kitwe. The TLB Operators will perform excavation and loading tasks in a mining environment, ensuring safety and precision in all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate TLBs to perform digging, loading, and backfilling tasks for mining and construction activities.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure the TLB is in safe and operational condition.
  • Follow site plans and supervisor instructions to meet project requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safe operation of the TLB in a mining environment.
  • Perform minor maintenance on the TLB and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
  • Work collaboratively with other operators and site teams to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Monitor site conditions, such as terrain and weather, to adjust operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including hours worked and tasks completed.
  • Assist with other site duties as required, demonstrating adaptability in operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating TLBs in a mining or construction environment.
  • Valid silicosis certification, ensuring compliance with health standards in mining.
  • Operating certificate and competency certificate for TLBs from a recognized institution.
  • Strong understanding of mining site operations and safety practices.
  • Physical stamina to work in challenging conditions, including long shifts and rough terrain.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision in operating heavy machinery.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with site teams and supervisors.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kitwe, Copperbelt Province.
Operate excavators to perform digging, loading, and material handling tasks in a mining environment. Conduct pre-operation inspections of the excavator to ensure it is in good working condition. Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to meet operational goals. Ensure safe operation of the excavator, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Perform basic maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team. Work collaboratively with other operators and site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency. Monitor site conditions, such as soil stability and weather, to adjust operations as needed. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including hours worked and materials moved. Assist with other site tasks as required, ensuring flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators in a mining or construction environment. Valid silicosis certification, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in mining. Operating certificate and competency certificate for excavators from a recognized institution. Strong understanding of mining site operations and safety protocols. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including long shifts and varying weather. Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision in operating heavy machinery. Good communication skills to coordinate with site teams and supervisors. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kitwe, Copperbelt Province.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating ADTs in a mining or heavy industrial environment. Valid silicosis certification, ensuring compliance with mining health standards. Operating certificate and competency certificate for ADTs from a recognized institution. Strong understanding of mining site operations and safety protocols. Physical stamina to work in challenging conditions, including long shifts and rough terrain. Excellent driving skills and spatial awareness for operating large vehicles. Good communication skills to coordinate with site teams and supervisors. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kitwe, Copperbelt Province.
