Position Overview
We are seeking a Video Editor Temp to join our production team for an initial six-month period, starting September 2025. Depending on performance and market needs, the role may transition into a permanent or part-time position.

Key Responsibilities
Editing & Post-Production
– Craft compelling edits that meet client objectives and enhance storytelling.
– Deliver high-quality sound through audio mastering and mixing.
– Ensure seamless integration of visuals and audio for a polished final product.
– Incorporate motion graphics and animation to elevate video content.

Production Support
– Support field shoots by assisting with camera operations and production equipment.

Creative Development
– Contribute ideas that strengthen visual storytelling and align with brand identity.
– Apply design sensibilities in typography, colour, and layout to enhance edits and motion graphics.

Collaboration & Planning
– Work closely with the Creative Director and clients to achieve project goals.
– Participate in production meetings, offering creative and technical input to align on deliverables.

Requirements
Education
– Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.

Computers
– Comfortable working on Windows platforms.
– Experience with Mac OS (added advantage).

Software
– Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Knowledge of After Effects, Audition, Photoshop.
– Illustrator and InDesign (added advantage).
– Experience with Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve (added advantage).
– Familiarity with AI tools for still and motion graphics (added advantage).

Media Production Skills
– Strong skills in video editing, audio editing, and motion graphics.
– Ability to set up and operate cameras (hardware and software settings).
– Knowledge of audio equipment setup for events, studio, interviews, and “run and gun” scenarios.
– Skills in syncing video and audio, and audio mastering/mixing.
– Strong understanding of graphic design principles (typography, colour, and layout).
– Understanding of documentary storytelling, lighting principles, and audio/sound dynamics.
– Experience with audiovisual setup and management for livestreams and online broadcasts (added advantage).
– Familiarity with livestreaming and podcast production (added advantage).
– Photography and image editing skills (added advantage).
– 3D/animation skills are a plus.
