British American Tobacco Zambia has an exciting opportunity for a TMR Internship based in Kasama covering Northern Province. Our internship program is designed for individuals who are looking to work in a dynamic global organization. The program comprises of functional projects which the intern will be assigned over a period of 1 year. Along with accomplishing challenging tasks every day, the candidate will receive coaching from the assignment manager through a structured plan and defined set of deliverables, to grow both business and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities or duties

• Translate the corporate strategy into a marketing strategy that grows the BAT brands penetration and maximises the ROI.
• Drive the implementation of the marketing strategy, as well as the implementation of global initiatives in the territory assigned.
• Drive an on-going process of marketing evaluation and innovation in order to achieve the maximum competitiveness in availability, communications, price and image.
• Ensure compliance with Responsible Marketing Framework, facilitating productivity gains and continuous improvement.
• Manage self KPIs and track ongoing results, as well as manage allocated budget for all trade marketing activities in the territory and carry out any further duties as assigned by your line manager.

Qualifications or requirements

• Degree in a Marketing or Business-related field, ZAQA certified qualifications.
• Self-discipline and organized, self-starter, self – motivated, results and action oriented.
• Ability to solve conflicts in trade, develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and driving experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
