1. ROLE IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: TRAINER/INSTRUCTOR

Direct Reports: OPERATIONS MANAGER

2. JOB PURPOSE

The Trainer/Instructor will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for security guards and related personnel. The role ensures that all staff are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and discipline to perform their duties effectively and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver training programs for new recruits and existing security personnel
  • Conduct induction training, refresher courses, and specialized security training
  • Train staff on security procedures, emergency response, customer service, and safety protocols
  • Assess trainees’ performance and provide feedback and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Maintain accurate training records and reports
  • Identify training needs and recommend improvements
  • Conduct drills and simulations (e.g., fire, evacuation, incident response)
  • Promote discipline, professionalism, and high ethical standards among staff

4.NATURE OF DECISION MAKING

5. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
  • Proven experience as a security trainer, instructor, or similar role
  • Background in security services, law enforcement, or military is an added advantage

6.EXPERIENCE:

Minimum At least 5 years’ experience in security
