Background:

The Training and Extension Services expert supports farmer groups and agribusinesses engaged in productive alliances by enhancing their capacity to make informed production decisions, increase agricultural output, and effectively engage with markets. Working closely with district-level extension staff, cooperatives, and other stakeholders, the expert provides technical and programmatic support to improve extension service delivery, promote market systems development, and facilitate stakeholder engagement. He/ She will advise on enterprise selection, production management, pricing strategies, and buyer engagement, while also developing training materials, communication tools, and scalable models to strengthen agricultural value chains and rural entrepreneurship.

• Enhancing farmer groups and agribusinesses capacity
• Providing technical and programmatic support to improve extension service delivery
• Advising on enterprise selection, production management, pricing strategies, and buyer engagement
• Developing training materials and communication tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Extension, Agribusiness, Development Studies, or related field
• Master’s degree in the same or related disciplines is preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in economic growth and/or agricultural development within Zambia
• Extensive experience working with government ministries at both local and national levels
