JOB DETAILS:

To operate waste collection trucks safely and efficiently to ensure timely collection and disposal of waste in line with company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate company waste collection trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Collect waste from designated points according to schedule.
• Ensure waste is properly loaded, secured, and transported to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the Fleet Supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
• Knowledge of waste handling procedures is an advantage.
• Good understanding of road safety rules and defensive driving.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual loading/unloading when required

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
