JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
The ideal incumbent will be responsible for operating trucks and trailers to deliver/transport goods to company clients’ premises/sites in an efficient and safe manner, while observing safety occupational practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Transport goods in a safe manner on both long-distance and local assignments.
• Ensure security of goods, and proper loading and offloading.
• Liaise with the maintenance team and conduct inspections before and after trips to ensure the vehicle is mechanically fit for operation and meets stipulated safety standards at all times.
• Adhere to planned routes and delivery/collection schedules.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel receipts/invoices, and any other relevant documentation.
• Observe all traffic rules/regulations, including safety standards.
• Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth orderly workflow.

Qualification and Requirements:
• At least Grade 9 school certificate.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar position in a busy environment.
• Possession of a valid PSV driver’s license class CE-D.
• Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate.
• Medically fit.
• Good customer service skills.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Verification of qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is required by law before job offers are made to the successful candidates.
