We are therefore inviting applications to fill the below vacant positions in the Transport division.

1. TRUCK DRIVERS X 40

Position Description

This position reports to the Fleet Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

  • Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across local and long-distance routes.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of cargo to clients or designated destinations .
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (before and after trips) and report any faults .
  • Adhere to all road traffic laws and safety regulations in Zambia .
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and fuel usage reports.
  • Follow procedures for transporting dangerous goods where applicable
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and supervisors
  • Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Valid Driver’s License (CE or relevant class for heavy-duty trucks) .
  • Valid Certificate in Defensive Driving .
  • Valid Silicosis Certificate .
  • Valid Certification in Dangerous Goods Handling.
  • Valid Police Clearance Certificate (no criminal record) .
  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in truck driving .
  • A valid passport
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Job Specific Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws .
  • Good time management and reliability.
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness .
  • Ability to work long hours and travel long distances .
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantag.
  • Long-distance travel, including cross-border routes .
  • Extended working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exposure to varying weather and road conditions.
