JOB DETAILS:
This position reports to the Assistant Asset Care Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor utility equipment like boilers, compressors, and water treatment systems to maintain optimal performance and output.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure reliability and prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in utilities systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety regulations, including isolation, lock-out, and tag-out procedures, as well as health and environmental standards.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data in company systems.
- Work to enhance the efficiency and reliability of utilities systems and support the installation and commissioning of new systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience.
- A Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or utilities environment, preferably in the beverage or food industry.
- Experience with process control systems (PLCs, SCADA) and industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Familiarity with specific equipment like boilers, compressors, chillers, and water treatment systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Good communication and technical reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies.
