Key Responsibilities:

The Volunteer (Communication) will play a key role in enhancing our brand, visibility, and engagement. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Content Creation & Management: Develop compelling content for our website, social media channels, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and external stakeholders to maximize media coverage and exposure.
  • Campaign Support: Assist in the design and implementation of communication strategies and campaigns aimed at raising awareness about our programs and initiatives.
  • Social Media Management: Monitor and engage with our community across social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
  • Internal Communication: Coordinate communication efforts within the organization to ensure alignment across teams and effective dissemination of key information.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a communications role, preferably in the NGO or nonprofit sector.
  • Proven experience in writing, editing, and creating content for various media platforms.
  • Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with photography or videography.
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Multilingual skills are an advantage (e.g., English, [local languages]).
