Havana Bar & Restaurant is expanding and is looking for passionate, hardworking, and customer-focused individuals to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

Waitstaff are the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring excellent service, order accuracy, and a memorable dining experience.

• Guest Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
• Order Taking: Take food and beverage orders accurately, noting special requests or dietary preferences.
• Serving: Deliver orders promptly, ensuring correct items, proper presentation, and appropriate garnishes.
• Upselling: Suggest daily specials, premium beverages, and add-ons to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Guest Assistance: Attend to guests' needs throughout their visit, including refilling drinks, clearing empty glassware, and checking satisfaction.
• Payment Processing: Present bills accurately, process payments (cash, card, mobile money), and provide correct change and receipts.
• Table Maintenance: Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, resetting them for the next customers.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized service area, including polishing glassware and cutlery.
• Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with bartenders, kitchen staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate. (CERTIFIED COPY)
• NRC (CERTIFIED COPY)
• Relevant qualifications or experience for the position applied for.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
