JOB OPPORTUNITY- WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
Our Client, SINOMA (Mphande Limestone) in the Manufacturing Industry, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Warehouse Supervisor position.
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient inventory management, safe handling of materials, and timely dispatch of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of mechanical related materials (hardware accessories)
- Ensure accurate inventory management through stock counts, reconciliation, and proper documentation
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow
- Monitor loading and offloading activities to minimize damage and improve efficiency
- Optimize warehouse layout for effective space utilization
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure productivity and discipline
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse systems and basic office tools
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and operational challenges
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance and stock levels
- Ensure proper handling and storage of heavy materials
Qualifications and Experience
- Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse operations
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with equipment handling
